The MEMIOS concept is simple; move the waste automatically to centralized remote areas away from buildings and inhabitants. Thus reducing the building environment and people to the exposure of the waste, waste collection, waste vehicles and related offensive conditions! The MEMIOS system is well suited to both new construction and existing buildings. We adapt the system to suit the size of the project, and design it so that it is able to grow as the demand increases. The environment in which we live and work therefore becomes waste-free.

Airports

Airports generate enormous amounts of waste - onboard aircraft, in catering facilities, restaurants, shops and offices. Traffic is very intensive during much of the day and rapid waste handling is essential. At the same time, consideration must be given to a number of safety regulations.

Manual waste collection at airports is dirty, burdensome and creates difficulties for Customs and Airport Security Departments. On the already busy apron, a collection truck must drive from aircraft to aircraft to collect the refuse bags.

When an MEMIOS system is used, these problems as well as others are eliminated. When compared with traditional manual collection methods, it proves to be more efficient, safer in all the above mentioned aspects, hygienic and often 40% to 50% less expensive!

When the aircraft has landed and reached the gate, the cleaning staff cleans the aircraft as usual. Instead of having to carry the waste bags to a vehicle on the apron, they are disposed right into the chute located by the passenger loading bridge and at the same level as the aircraft door. If the aircraft has no access to the loading bridge, there are chutes on the apron level as well. This helps to keep traffic on the apron and cleaning staff passing through customs areas with waste bags at a minimum level.
